Titusville Spring Art Show

I found out Thursday afternoon that my #3 painting won 2nd place in Oil/Acrylic category. On last Monday I wasn't even going to enter anything in the show, now I'm glad I did.
The reception last night was a great event, met a lot of great artist and saw a lot of great pieces of art. The show runs through Saturday, 3/27/2010. On Saturday evening is the awards ceremony.

Spring Art Show

I have entered 2 pieces of art in The Titusville Art Leagues 45 Annual Spring Art Show, March 25, 26, & 27th, 2010. There is a size limit of 42" x 42" max. Most of my pieces that best represent my style are 24" x 48", too big for the show. So I picked the 2 that I think fit my style the best, #3 & #5. This is a juried show, and the prizes are nice in all categories. I volunteered on the 23rd to help move the racks to the hotel for the show, and on the 24 I volunteered for take-in and saw some really great art work.
Today is the opening day of the show and tonight is the reception, and Saturday night is the awards banquet. I hope my name is called for something, but we will see.

The Show is over

The Fall TAL Art Show has come and gone. This is my first show so I had no idea what to expect. It was a little busy on friday, but saturday the turn out was less. I had a good time meeting and talking to the artist I have seen at the monthly meetings. I sure did learn a lot. Even though no body sold any paintings, it was a fun time for me. These are some pics I took of my paintings hanging at the show.

My First Show

On Friday, Nov. 13, and Sat. Nov. 14, 2009 I will be in the Titusville Art Leagues, 2009 Fall Arts and Crafts Show in Titusville, Fl. The times are fri. 10 am to 8 pm, and sat. 10 am to 5 pm. Come on out and say "Hi".

"Transition" is my 8th painting. It is painted on hard board and is done with acrylic/latex paint. It is 12" x 24" x 1-1/2"

Painting #6

This is Painting #6, Aug. 2009, Actual size is 11-1/2" x 12". Painted on hard board with acrylic/latex. The paint wrap the corners of the painting.

The Beginning

This is where it all started with me painting. In or around 2003 I was out of work, the living room needed painting. I started between two doors by the floor, a few days later the next section above that, and a few days after that it was up to the ceiling. Then it went both ways above the doors, then about 3 months later the whole wall looked like this. No more art work until Feb. 2009. And thats the Beginning of my painting. Left to Right is how the wall looks.
